NEW MAESTRO VoIP TESTING PRODUCT SURPASSES EXPECTATIONS      (1/2009)

The new Maestro system from Datameg Corp. subsidiary NetSymphony has demonstrated that the product can quickly and economically diagnose conflict problems in VoIP installations.

“The Maestro product is incredible,” said Tim Martin, president of Neoscope in New Hampshire, a managed service provider.  “It has quickly put an end to the typical finger-pointing between product vendors.”

Martin recently installed the candy bar-sized probes at a multi-site behavioral health organization and diagnosed the problems within 24 hours.

“Some calls were cut off, and we used the probe to find a better internet connection,” he said.  “Give the probe 24 hours to analyze the system and the traffic.  Size and complexity don’t seem to matter.”

Maestro is an active testing and monitoring solution for installing and managing the full life cycle of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) deployments.  It provides an independent plug and play testing layer for company networks that observes but does not impact existing network hardware, software or other network testing equipment.

Martin said that the Maestro probes have allowed his IT support firm to quickly determine whether customers can implement VoIP without additional costs, and to assist in conflict resolution between various vendors.

“I’ve seen it quickly put an end to the typical blame game among vendors.  Frankly, its performance exceeds our expectations.”

Prior to this, IT support companies such as Neoscope had to install $6,000 to $8,000 worth of software at a site, which required what Martin describes as “tedious administration” and the support of a skilled engineer to operate.  In his experience, it took a long time – occasionally two to three months – to resolve the issues.

“With the Maestro system, it is plug in and go in a matter of minutes,” he said.  “Problems of jitter or delay or other VoIP QOS issues with the system are promptly identified and faults isolated and resolved quickly.”

One of the early adopters of the new Maestro system, Martin predicts the product should cause providers and users of VOiP to abandon more time-consuming testing methods which require expensive software and dedicated personnel..

Given his success, Martin said he plans to demonstrate the product to other IP partners.

NetSymphony is a subsidiary of Datameg Corp. (OTCBB:DTMG), a diversified holding company with subsidiaries in the technology sector and in food packaging and other injection-molded products industries.  NetSymphony designs, develops and offers network-wide fault identification, fault isolation and voice quality assurance products as well as critical, real-time network health and performance monitoring services for both providers and end-users of internet telephony or VoIP.

DATAMEG SUBSIDIARY - NETSYMPHONY - ANNOUNCES NEW  MAESTRO SYSTEM WITH SMALLEST VoIP TEST PROBE

RALEIGH, NC (February 26, 2008) – Net Symphony, a subsidiary of Datameg Corp (OTCBB:DTMG), today announced commencement of sales of its Maestro System that sets new standards for size, simplicity and value.  The Maestro System provides valuable functions in three major areas:  system assessment; assurance and service level agreement monitoring; and fault isolation and troubleshooting.

The Maestro system offers integrated management of IP services by assessing, monitoring and troubleshooting IP systems.  Coupled with central servers, Maestro uses its affordable and widely disbursed Ml0P probes at user defined measurement points to allow network operators to manage their customer’s quality experience from initial deployment through and including ensuring ongoing, high quality, voice services.  The Ml0P probe is the smallest in the industry (1 inch by 1 inch by 4.375 inches).  Its zero-configuration startup feature lets a user simply plug it in.  The M10P then automatically begins to perform tests and measurements without any complicated configuration required.

“Four out of 10 large organizations have struggled with VoIP deployment.  Many have seen quality problems mysteriously come and go, and they have struggled to get their systems into service and operating clearly and consistently,” said NetSymphony’s Dan Ference.  “They’ve discovered that some routers are not friendly to voice, and they’ve had distortion problems when their calls go outside their enterprise.  The M10P probe replicates a customer’s call and is able to measure the end-to-end user experience across networks and administrative boundaries.  The M10P probe provides information to determine where and what problem exists.”

NetSymphony offers a unique sales approach.  Customers may take advantage of the Net Symphony technology either by purchasing monitoring and troubleshooting through NetSymphony’s VoIP Deployment and Quality Management Services, or by purchasing their own complete Maestro Systems outright for integration into their existing infrastructure.

“Minimal intervention is required to get the system up and running.  You don’t need hordes of people out there to diagnose your problems,” Ference said.  “Maestro can make VoIP deployment and quality management easy and affordable.”

“This milestone not only is a significant step in establishing NetSymphony as a viable contender in the testing and monitoring field, but with its high tech probe the company now offers affordable options to all organizations,” said Jim Murphy, CEO of parent Datameg Corp.
